To my mind, at present dental doctor is more interested in Kotler than Hippocrates. So what?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m terrified with this trend. It worries me when dental doctor sees his profession as a business. Doctor is not sales person and sales person in not doctor. Difference?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sales person<\/strong>\u00a0has got clear tasks &#8211; to\u00a0<strong>sell\u00a0<\/strong>a product and \/ or service. Success depends on sales ( how much, how fast, how many). Good sales person knows\u00a0<strong>marketing<\/strong>\u00a0well. He responses to needs, he stimulates them and he can create them. He works on awareness of receiver to sell. Sales person addresses his activity to\u00a0<strong>customer<\/strong>. His priority is\u00a0<strong>profit<\/strong>. He receives a salary. More success, more profit, better salary. In communication sales person first of all uses\u00a0<strong>persuasion<\/strong>\u00a0techniques.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of doctor is\u00a0<strong>homeostasis<\/strong>. Treating is based on\u00a0<strong>moral code by Hippocrates<\/strong>. Doctor response to needs &#8211; he serves his knowledge, ability, energy in order to help. He acts for<strong>\u00a0patient<\/strong>. Doctor learns about patient&#8217;s needs and solves his healthy problems ( and not only) and he does what possible to\u00a0<strong>alleviate suffering<\/strong>. Doctor educates and introduce prophylaxis. Doctor is &#8216;paid&#8217;, but sometimes &#8216;thank you&#8217; is enough. It happens to him to work without thinking of money. His main feature of character is\u00a0<strong>empathy<\/strong>and development in\u00a0\u00a0<strong>communication<\/strong>\u00a0to another person. He has got not only tasks to complete, but also<strong>\u00a0mission<\/strong>\u00a0to carry out.<\/p>\n<p>I really appreciate good sales person.
